Turnpike Tolls
As you plan your trip to Oklahoma, we wanted to share a tip from a local region member to save money on turnpike tolls in the area. We would recommend setting up an account with Pike Pass, similar to an EZ Pass, you would use a credit or debit card to put money into an escrow account. This is good for toll roads in FL, CO, KS, TX and all OK.
As you use the Pike Pass, it draws money out of the escrow and will replenish automatically if the funds get low. It really is about half the cost of the plate pay so it is a real bargain.
Once your trip is over and you have returned safely home, you can cancel the Pike Pass, and the remaining escrow money is returned. There are no fees or monthly upkeep fees; it is only for use on the turnpikes.
