AutoX

Welcome to the 2025 Parade AutoX

Oklahoma is famous for its rodeos and fairs. What better fun than to experience the automotive equivalent, an AutoX "Roadie-Oh," at the same site in the big OKC Fairgrounds R-2 and R-3 parking lots? Instead of barrels and hay, we'll use soft vinyl cones to make a variety of fast, flowing, and challenging turns. We'll publish the course map well in advance so you and your "Horsche" can arrive ready for the action.

Schedule

Tuesday:

10:00 am until dark, course open for walking, Instructor lead walks 11:00 am-1:00 pm

4:00–5:00 pm Zoom Chalk Talks will be held in June to go over the event, and a live Chalk Talk will be held in the OMNI Hotel for those who prefer or for any last-minute questions.

Wednesday: All "Stock" Classed cars run. See the Daily Schedule below.

Thursday: All "Production," "Improved," and "Modified" classed cars run. See the Daily Schedule below.

PCNA Cup on Thursday: The Porsche Cars North American Cup (PCNA Cup) AutoX Run-Off event will occur after Thursday AutoX (starting just before noon). See AutoX Section A9 of the 2025 Parade Competition Rules (PCR's) for full details. All Wednesday drivers who qualify (by winning their combined Open and Women's class or being within the specified margin for that winning time) will be posted and announced with the Wednesday AutoX results. Any one of those drivers who had signed up for the Thursday Gimmick Rally will be given an early Thursday morning rally start time, allowing them to finish the rally and return back to the Oklahoma Fairground for the PCNA Cup.

Daily Run Schedule

7:00–8:00 am: Arrive, park in Grid for Tech, then course open to walk.

8:15 am-8:45 am: Mandatory Driver's Meeting in TBD.

9:00 am: AutoX runs start.

11:30 am-1:00 pm: Estimated finish time for all drivers.

~ 11:00 am Thursday: Start of PCNA Cup AutoX Run Off in PCNA-provided Porsches.

IMPORTANT: Each AutoX driver must also "work" the same day they drive. In the AutoX Section of Phase 2, please fill out your desired position (check that you meet the criteria), experience, and any limitations. As is typical at AutoX events, everyone will drive and then work or work and then drive the day their car class runs. Work sessions will only be about 90 minutes long but will count for your Parade Worker Party admission. AutoX jobs are some of the best "work" assignments at Parade, allowing you to get close to the action and study how fellow drivers take their lines. In addition to your free worker T-shirt size, please indicate if you plan on attending the Parade Worker Party on Saturday.

Additional Volunteer Workers are needed. Please sign up separately in the Volunteer Section of Phase 2 Registration (Not the AutoX Section) to help with one of these positions:

  • Course Set Up on Tuesday 8–11 am (a great way to learn the course).
  • AutoX Entrance Gate on Wednesday or Thursday 6:30–9:00 am… ONLY if you are not driving that day (this is an easy-seated position that beats the heat while greeting drivers when they arrive at AutoX each morning).
  • PCNA Cup & Course Tear Down on Thursday ~11:00 am to ~1:30 pm (Didn't earn an invite to the PCNA Cup event but want to see the top drivers in action from a flag station? This is one of the best volunteer positions in the whole Parade, as you get to see the top drivers compete up close at a flag station. However, very few cones are expected to be hit since that will likely prevent the driver from advancing. Then, as soon as the PCNA Cup winner is determined (by about 1:00 pm), you gather cones around your flag station and load up your tent and gear into the truck when it comes by.

Tech Inspection will be performed each morning in the grid area. No Tech form is needed; however, drivers must ensure their car meets all the AutoX Minimum Standard Tech requirements. See the 2025 Parade Competition Rules (PCR's) Section A-5 "Driver Safety" (page 28), including Section A.5.1.5 "Safety Inspection" Parade Competition Rules (PCR's)

All STOCK Car Class TIRES must conform to the updated 2025 PCR tire rules found in Section A-2.5.2.1. "Tires": "N-Spec" tires, or OEM sizes that have a 300 Treadwear rating or higher.
